>>>a decade is a long time in anyone's book, and so a sequel to the x-files movie may seem like a nostalgic long-shot.  but, if  indiana jones can leave it almost twenty years then who knows.  a cult classic of the 1990's, ending in 2002 on its 9th season, the x-files makes a welcome return, as evidenced by this first production shot from the movie.  creator chris carter is optimistic of the second films success, and notes one of the reasons for the shows cult status, but also it's downfall.  "we spent a lot of time on (the mythology) and wrapped up a lot of threads.  we want a stand-alone movie, not a mythology conspiracy one."  so, the return of fox mulder - david duchovny, now currently enjoying another cult role as hank moody in the consistently brilliant californacation - and the fantastic gillian anderson looks set to be a classic stand alone adventure.  we can't wait...

>>>we continue our look at worlds of importance from the history of the setnin sector with gista, the spice capital of the setnin sector...

gista

One of the major spice manufacturing worlds in the Setnin Sector, along with Noscage.  Gista was an inhospitable rock, lying alone around a small star.  Despite this, controlling the Gista spice mines was the ambition of many a Setnin ganglord, though no boss has ever quite managed to achieve it.  Gista was also the home of the small-time crook Gaalent, an old friend of Jan Lomona who pushed his luck too far with Glann Cipple one too many times.  For a while it was also the adopted home of Cipples former secretary Jezzren and his family, living as they did with Jezzren’s brother Marekk in the busy region of Silo Grain City.   During the era of the Clone Wars, Gista was the world where Jedi Knights Notami De’Athe and Yyfekk Talaihin encountered the dark Jedi Garani Allafson and where Notami convinced his friend to believe he was slain so as to continue arranging the Rinsome Project.  During the last few hours of the Clone Wars the Jedi Knight Sonness Essar was slain by her Clonetrooper battalion after the initiation of Order 66.

>>>we continue our look at worlds of importance from the history of the setnin sector with foron, the world where the mighty starship heed was discovered...

foron

Flat surfaced Setnin Sector planet covered in low lying brush and birthplace of the erstwhile smuggler and billionaire Bacca, a friend of Jan Lomonas.  Three years after his death Baccas will was revealed, and buried on top of his grave was a sheet detailing the conditions to hand in the will and claim the bounty.  The location revealed was the planet Foron.  Foron was where future Jedi Knight Blake De’Athe was raised by foster parents and was also the location of the famed Chantra Mines, Foron was the birthplace of the acclaimed neurosurgeon Doctor Joeness and where the legendary starship Heed was discovered by agents of Glann Cipple, hidden within the Foron Dustcloud close to the planet.  Darwyn T’Reller also finished her final job as a smuggler on Foron, handing over all her key smuggling charts and knowledge to Jan Lomona after their agreement that when Lomona surpassed her in skill she would retire from the lanes.  Formerly known as Kaal, the planet was renamed after its invasion by the forces of Emperor Priest Foron of Escall

>>>we continue our look at worlds of importance from the history of the setnin sector with ferrerea, the deadliest planet in the entire setnin sector...

ferrerea

Setnin Sector homeworld of the feared assassin aliens the Ferrereans.  Living in a multi-levelled culture, divided intoDeath Cultists, Stalkers and Priests, the Ferrereans rarely left their homeworld, preferring the comfort of their own environs.  Offended by other cultures and religions it wasn’t long after the Ferrereans began travelling through the sector that conflicts began - first the Janos/Ferrerea War and later the Hellion/Ferrerea War.  But it was the intervention of the Empire, and the brief occupation of their homeworld that offended the Ferrereans the most.  Taking a handful of young, idealistic Warriors the Empire broke a millennia of tradition and affronted their entire society.  Despite their mistrust of outsiders the Ferrereans allowed Glann Cipple to set up a Shadow Warrior Academy on Ferrerea, under the tutelage of his chief bodyguard Melm.  Working closely with the Ferrerean Death Cultists this elite fighting force was trained to the heights of human possibility
