>>>revenge of the sith has likely risen its final position in the all-time us domestic chart, finally overhauling lord of the rings - return of the king.  now sitting pretty in 7th position on an estimated $377,118,000 it still remains $26,000,000 behind 6th place spider-man and is unlikely to rise any higher.  worldwide it has taken $803,198,922 and is now only $13,800,000 behind 12th place independence daysith is now only the 13th film to take over $800,000,000 worldwide, although it's still more than a billion dollars behind the insurmountable titanic, which doesn't include eight years inflation.  with its 7th position it now means that in america star wars films occupy the 2nd (a new hope), 5th (the phantom menace), 7th (revenge of the sith), 18th (attack of the clones), 19th (return of the jedi) and 23rd (the empire strikes back) positions.  worldwide they lie in 5th (the phantom menace), 13th (revenge of the sith), 18th (a new hope), 23rd (attack of the clones, 31st (the empire strikes back) and 45th (return of the jedi)

>>>our look at selected characters of importance from the history of the setnin sector continues with jedi master zeboden, the leader of the setnin jedi council through the clone wars who returned to lead the survivors of the rinsome to a new future...

master zeboden

Two hundred year old Jedi master from the mining world of Crilik on the edge of Wildspace who trained Ade-arr B’erain, Letitia Arkensaw and Blake De’Athe.  A towering man, broad and strong due to his Crilik upbringing, Zeboden was chosen to head the Setnin Jedi Council upon its inauguration just weeks after Setnin left the Republic just prior to the Battle of Naboo.  He was at the forefront of Setnin Jedi action during the Clone Wars, but once the battle was lost lay low for decades until it was time to begin training Jedi apprentices once again.  Highly respected for his teachings of humility Zeboden held the fort at the Paladin Base before Letitia arrived to take charge, and then stepped back to take an advisory role, tutoring his younger students and being a wise council to his younger colleagues. After Letitia left Rai he moved back into a more prominent role as Blake De’Athe’s closest advisor, friend and most steadying influence.

>>>revenge of the sith rises another place in the all-time worldwide box office chart.  having surpassed the final unadjusted total of e.t. the extra terrestrial, sith has now amassed $798,000,000, just $19,000,000 behind number 12 independence day.  with the japanese total rising steadily that target should be reached within the month, and with spider-man only a further $4,700,000 ahead sith should ultimately reach the all-time number 11 position.  at the us box office sith is now just $995,190 behind return of the king, a gap that should be achieved within the fortnight.

>>>our look at selected characters of importance from the history of the setnin sector continues with general soli, the new republic commander who caused so much trouble for jan lomona and who harboured a dark secret...

general soli

Posted aboard the New Republic gunboat Colossus and known as Snorknose Soli to his underlings, General Soli led a busy life sifting through important documents and allocating teams to go on seek-and-retrieve missions.  A typical military type, Soli suffered fools badly and couldn’t bear to let a grudge go.  One such grudge, against free-trader Jan Lomona festered for years.  Posted on Tantum V for a brief while after the Battle of Endor, Soli worked alongside other underworld types, including Anzai Karoo.  Posted to the Colossus, Soli managed to break up a successful roster of Squadron Indigo which precipitated the arrival of Rogue Squadron pilot Wes Janson to swiftly train a new team.  Soli barely managed to disguise his dislike for Lomona and Terrie Saffra after they successfully completed their mission to Maquina.  Forthright and stern, Solis loyalties were brought into doubt on a number of occasions and it was suggested that he sold secrets to the Empire on more than one instance, rumours that were borne out to be true when an investigation proved that he had sold out rebel sympathisers to the Empire during the Galactic Civil War.   Sentenced to five years at the Arsazz Mining Colonies on Lydon Soli never made the full journey – he escaped his confines and skipped the sector.

>>>revenge of the sith finally slips out of the us top ten after 60 days on release.  now sitting in the us domestic 8th spot it has just surpassed spider-man 2's total of $373,585,825 and has only $3,179,320 to go until it takes 7th spot and usurps return of the king.  worldwide it continues to close in on the original star wars unadjusted total, where it is just $6.6 million behind.  with a storming opening in japan and the promise of further takings there which could total $100 million, it still looks good to nestle just behind finding nemo in the all-time 10th spot, just ahead of spider-man.

>>>our look at selected characters of importance from the history of the setnin sector continues with weale galletti, the young woman who infiltrated the court of jabba the hutt for glann cipple and proved herself to be a vital agent in the underworld...

weale galletti

Galletti, Weale - Youngest member of the Galletti family, Weale was as unaware of her surviving brother’s existence as they were of hers.  Thought by her brothers to have been killed in the family’s escape from Trefnare after the Imperial invasion, Weale was taken in at the age of eight and trained by Glann Cipples Shadow Warriors on Ferrerea, working for them on numerous occasions. Highly skilled in the martial arts, espionage and guile, Weale assisted agent Himbimimam out in the field on worlds as inhospitable as Janos and later on Tatooine where she operated for a while as Glann Cipple's Alpha Source in Jabba the Hutt's court, known as Innga Marrael and posing as a dancer.   After the disbandment of the Shadow Warriors, Weale operated as an independent, hiring out her skills to the highest bidder, and made a reputation as an espionage expert, infiltrating organisations and gaining access to the highest echelons of business and politics.  During the Setnin/Ki-Ki War she worked alongside Jan Lomona and assisted in infiltrating Ki-Ki defences.

friday 8th july 2005
>>>ever since the release of revenge of the sith back in may, there seems to be a distinct lack of regular updates on other star wars-related websites.  aint-it-cool have noticeably slowed down, as has the usually prolific force.net.  so what has caused this slow down?  is it lack of news, a decrease in rumours or simply star wars burn out?  it doesn't seem so long ago that star wars sites began to dry up - after the release of the phantom menace, when fandom was divided and the run up to attack of the clones was fairly muted, something which clearly affected that films box office clout.  but sith was well received, and we have not one but two new shows to look forward to, as well as book, comics and other related materials.  perhaps it's time to push the point and make sure star wars is an ever-present fixture on the internet, led, as ever, by its rabid fan base - us.
thursday 7th july 2005
>>>on days like today sites such as this seem trivial and shallow, given the events that took place in london this morning.  this sites prayers are with the dead and injured and their families.

>>>our look at selected characters of importance from the history of the setnin sector continues with anzai karoo, a man who's smuggling career spanned two important era's of setnins underworld history...

anzai karoo

Known throughout the smuggling fraternity within the Mid-Rim, Anzai Karoo was something of a legend.  An original member of the Cipple-Dressel-Riger-D’Staan team who made such an impact on the Setnin Sector underworld three decades ago, Karoo led a varied life.  A failed Jedi student, Karoo sought out another life to occupy him, eventually winding up as the assistant to that illustrious group.  Pilot of the famed ship the Cannon Angel, Anzai had been mentor and friend to many operators including Jan Lomona and Goah Galletti. He met his death at the hands of Queed/Riger on Trefnare after meeting up with the rest of the remaining Happy Contrivers for the final time.
