>>>we continue to spotlight selected characters from the Lightsabre archives.  today we feature latti tellex, popular smuggler and friend of many...

latti tellex

Tellex worked for almost every major operator in the galaxy and distinguished himself as a man who could quietly get a job done.  Eventually, Latti settled on working in his home sector of Setnin for Glann Cipple.   The former owner of the Cronta’s Lady, before its destruction by pirates, Latti was killed in a rock fall caused by Imperial Commander Terrov while fighting alongside Goah Galletti and Jan Lomona on Escall.  Short and stocky, with long braids growing from his cheekbones and constantly eating Cockons, his favourite snack, Latti was a popular runner on the smuggling circuit and his premature death saddened many.

>>>revenge of the sith had its first day dipping below the $1,000,000 barrier, taking $965,277 but recovered well on friday and saturday to take its total to $356,706,000 by saturday, just under half a million behind jurassic park, which it should pass tomorrow.  the next target, just $14 million away is the passion of the christ on $370,782,930 with spider-man 2 next on $373,585,825 and return of the king in the all time domestic position of 7th with $377,027,325.  to catch spider-man on $403,706,375 may now prove to be a stretch, with the market filling with new titles, but worldwide, where it has a total just shy of $720 million there is still japan to come, and the best part of a likely $100 million to add there during the summer.

>>>we continue to spotlight selected characters from the Lightsabre archives.  today we feature daemon garr, former bounty hunter and head of the raven corporation...

daemon garr

Garr, Daemon – Also known as Lord Raven.  Furred Daemonite alien with a short temper, Garr wore heavy body armour with night vision capabilities.  An ex-Bounty Hunter, Garr worked with many people, including Jan Lomona, Yorath Devalis and Nias Derril.  Piloting his starship the Pacifier Scout Garr continued to operate around the Mid-Rim until he left the sector for other challenges.  Returning to the sector years later he was aggrieved to find that his friend Jan Lomona had been lost in a hyperspace accident and resolved to find him, which he did – across the other side of the galaxy.  Garr later married Netha Dubra, the woman who would later become known as the Lady Raven and he became known as Lord Raven, taking control of the Raven Institute and renaming it the Raven Corporation, an operation shrouded in mystery that eventually decided to join the Setnin resistance during the Fall of Chancai and give a large number of vessels to the Iron Claw leader Ryath Centaur.  But after a time the Raven Corporation, always quietly playing both sides of the war, gave the majority of its loyalty to the Ki-Ki, with both Lord and Lady Raven helping the Ki-Ki.  Later, Lord Raven placed a bounty on Lady Raven’s head, a bounty which Tar Ranth collected on, but instead of delivering his wife to him Ranth broke off their partnership and helped Dubra.

>>>revenge of the sith continues to gross over a million dollars a day as more competition fills the marketplace.  with batman begins and mr and mrs smith to compete against, as well as the solidly performing madagascar, siths take has risen to $338,102,187 in just 29 days.  while it's not going to beat shrek 2's record of 43 days in passing $400 million dollars, that milestone still looks reachable through the summer, making it only the seventh film to do so.  as of thursday 16th june it sits in 13th position, right behind finding nemo on $339,714,978 and lord of the rings-the two towers on $341,786,758.  next stop - jurassic park which ended its run with $357,067,947, a target that should be within reach by around its 40th day of release.  worldwide its total has risen to $682.2 million, passing forrest gump and taking 19th position.  now it has a hefty $56.4 million to take before it catches the matrix reloaded and $93.2 before it passes a new hope (in unadjusted figures, of course).  it's also worth noting that the release of sith in japan in july will likely reap around $100 million, taking it towards the all-time top ten worldwide.

>>>we continue to spotlight selected characters from the Lightsabre archives.  today we feature glann cipples head of security, the feared shadow warrior melm...

melm

Head of Glann Cipple’s personal army the Shadow Warriors.  Born in Goanar Township on Amagad, Glann Cipple saved his life, and Melm was given the opportunity to build the highly trained army, to which he agreed – as long as he was left to his own devices.  Glann accepted, and dispatched Melm to Ferrerea, where Melm had initially learned his fighting skills in dangerous circumstances.  Soon a Shadow Warrior Academy was operating on Ferrerea, and after years of intense training the graduates were dispatched to Amagad.  Among these graduates was Weale Galletti, sister of Goah, and Kailo – Dressel’s personal bodyguard who trained as a Shadow Warrior before leaving to work for Cipple’s competitor.  Loyal and trustworthy Melm worked tirelessly for Cipple until Cipple sold out his compatriots to the Empire over the discovery of the legendary Starship Heed.  Disgusted, Melm turned down an offer to work for Dressel and left Amagad with his remaining Warriors, travelling to Ferrerea to continue his training with Ferrerean Death Cultists.  After a few years there he enlisted to aide the New Republic in a security capacity and after completing that he joined Luschia Arkensaw aboard he newly renovated Euphoria Station as chief security officer, where he served her well until he met his death aboard a Zobian Pirate ship, saving the station from destruction by a huge asteroid.
