A final word before revenge…

mark newbold would like to say a few words…

No, don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere, not after the five month break we took re-loading and re-designing the site.  What I mean to say is, just a final word before Lightsabre takes a well-earned rest for a few days.  I thought I would take this chance to explain why, what’s happening, when we’re back and also to thank a bunch of people for their help.

First off, the reason for the break.  It’s due to me,  Mark (Jan Lomona and the Sirens of Amagad) Newbold and Paul (Frayed at the Edge) Squire flying off to Las Vegas on Thursday morning for ten days, a trip to the States we’ve done every three years since 1996.  We saw Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones at the MGM Grand Showcase, and now we’re going for the hatrick, so if any of our Vegas readers are there at midnight you may just end up being in a photo that’s displayed on this site.  As for the rest of the guys, Louis (The De'Athe Cargo) Turfrey is taking the day off work, as is Jonathan (Death of Yona) Hicks, and Jasons two week relocation to the cinema starts that day too.  I think that alone shows this sites dedication to the cause – none of us are at work!

When we return from Vegas we will hit the ground running with our Jeremy Bulloch and Daniel Logan interviews, a new story circa Revenge of the Sith and more new Setnin Selects, something we have been running in these parts since 2001.  Our intention is to keep the site fresh with star interviews, new images and stories.  Our site reload is almost complete, we have a number of stories waiting to hit the site and some new ideas brewing.  Rest assured, Lightsabre doesn’t plan on getting stale any time soon.

Finally, since we came back in March we’ve done so with the help of a number of folks who have either graced us with interviews, given valuable advice or their time to the site.  I’d like to take the opportunity to say cheers to those people :-
