The action figure exclusive for Star Wars Celebration Europe will give fans not one, but two super-collectible figures that never before have been available anywhere. Modeled after artist Ralph McQuarrie's original concept illustrations for beloved droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, the figures celebrate the 30-year legacy of the Star Wars saga as well as the creative, guiding vision of McQuarrie, whose drawings helped George Lucas convince studio directors to back the very first Star Wars movie.

Collectors, and fans of the bickering droid twosome, will not want to miss the opportunity to pick up this limited edition pair exclusively at Star Wars Celebration Europe at ExCeL London July 13-15.

The limited edition figures will be packaged with an exclusive Celebration Europe backer card and a commemorative coin, and are exclusively available at the Celebration Europe Store. The special coin will have a Celebration Europe logo on the reverse and the figures will be produced in strictly limited quantities. 

McQuarrie's early production illustrations of C-3PO drew inspiration from the golden android in Fritz Lang's Metropolis. In initial drawings for R2-D2, the plucky droid displayed flexible, exterior claws that would later become a number of handy attachments hidden inside Artoo's more streamlined exterior. Very early story treatments featured the bickering droids on the Imperial side of the conflict, but they evolved to become tenacious, if unlikely, Rebel heroes. McQuarrie's first painting of the droids was one of five pieces of art shown to the Twentieth Century Fox board of directors prior to their approving the initial budget for what was then called "The Star Wars."

For Celebration Europe, quantities of the action figures will be limited per person, based on which admission ticket has been purchased and the figures will only be available whilst stocks last. Hasbro will be celebrating with fans at Star Wars Celebration Europe!

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars, Hasbro has launched a range of out of this world Star Wars toys. Celebration Europe presents the perfect opportunity to share our exciting range with Star Wars greatest fans!

The 30th anniversary range includes 60 brand new awesome action figures featuring characters from all six episodes and each figure comes with a unique 30th anniversary Star Wars coin.

The 30th anniversary action figures will be on show on the Hasbro booth at Celebration Europe along with other exciting products including the Force Action Lightsaber, the first ever lightsaber activated at the touch of a button, plus the brilliant Star Wars Transformers range.

The Hasbro booth will also include exciting interactive areas so that fans can get up close and personal with their favourite toys and games!

LEGO

Celebrating 30 years since the first film hit cinema screens worldwide, LEGO launches its brand new collection of iconic vehicles and mini-figures at Star Wars Celebration Europe.

See the unveiling of the brand new product range, the adult fan area with over-sized Star Wars models, and get the chance to build your own galactic battle with the LEGO mosaic building event and model building competition.

Visitors will also be able to play the highly successful LEGO Star Wars, video games, or simply take it all in on the LEGO Star Wars, large screen.

Not only that but LEGO will also be unveiling the much-hyped Ultimate Collectors Millennium Falcon – the largest LEGO model ever made!

TOPPS/WIZKIDS

Topps Trading cards were the first licensed Star Wars product way back then, so its a natural fit for Topps Europe and Wizkids to take a key role at Celebration Europe. Along with the new Star Wars Pocket Model Trading Card Game there will be some surprises in store.  Along with exclusive Star Wars Celebration Europe game lines Topps / Wizkids will be running demonstrations of the Pocket Model game and there will be quick – fire tournaments for all the family with galactic prizes!

Fans will also be able to purchase exclusive Star Wars merchandise, and get their hands on cosmic promotional items at the Topps/Wizkids booth.
