Jackale - Informant and street beggar who lived on the streets of Mos Banely.  It was Jackale who gave Jan Lomona valuable information when Goah Galletti was kidnapped by Jabba the Hutts men after a Lomona double-cross.

Jacob - Broker of stolen goods alongside Joseph who was an underworld contact of Ryath Centaur as he attempted to aid Tar Ranth in his search for his missing starship the Setnin Star.

Jacquo - Communications officer aboard the Leogard Spacestation.

Jakira, Boro - Captain of the Screaming Moonbeam.  This male human transported passengers around the galaxy.

Jalman, Admiral - Rebel Admiral who first assembled the near-legendary Squadron Indigo in the Setnin Sector.  Aware of the need for a crack squad in this wild area of the Mid-Rim, Jalman set about finding the most resourceful and knowledgeable pilots that he could.  His first officer was Commander Kings, the veteran pilot who lost his life during the attack on the Revenger Super Star Destroyer.  Continuing his recruitment programme, Jalman kept twelve members of Indigo on active service with another eight in constant stand-by.

Jaltoo - Reptilian female pilot, with wide jet black eyes surrounded by thick plated scales. Carrying a small pistol from her thigh, her brown flight suit was streaked with dirt and oil.  She and a nameless bald male landed on Abrogard from the Setnin Sector but were both hunted down and executed by the bounty hunter Queed.

JarinInformant who told Goah Galletti the location of one of his targets on Amagad.  After revealing the location of the man, Mohala, he attempted to shoot Galletti – and received a volley of shots through the gun hand, head and heart for his efforts.

Jarvi – A member of the Amagad-based team which included Travees, Cap, Hideo and Hanner who defended the ravaged planet from pirate and Janite invasions.  Using his TY-96 rifle, Jarvi fought well.

Jason, Predd - Young ganglord with quarters on Chancai who harboured an ambition to be the primary ganglord in the Setnin Sector - even if it meant killing every other ganglord in the process.  Killed on Wennicas by Luschia Arkensaw with a rocket launcher during a meeting prompted by Glann Cipple.

Jazz – Underworld figure that worked alongside Jan Lomona, Kamira and Gasaeda.  An operative of Mister Spyte, Jazz was a devious and effective operative for her ganglord employer.

Jena Day care worker who worked at the Bank of Zelon during the fall of Chancai.  Jena and her seven charges were rescued by Critchek Skumul and his dog Spacer while Skumul tailed Terrie Saffra and Jan Lomona.

Jenolus - Arkin's second-in-command whilst he commanded an army after the invasion of Chinngard by the Janites. An aged warrior, Jenolus died fighting at Arkins side.

Je’Cto, Surn - From Leogard, Surn was a Council Member, also known as a Member of the Council – or MC - representing a section of the Setnin Sector encompassing a group of worlds not necessarily loyal to one another.

Jezzren - Wiry human male who was personal secretary to Glann Cipple for fifteen years before betraying Glann to Imperial Moff Treece, selling secrets of his deal with Dessio D’Staan.  Making his escape while Cipple was on his way to Abrogard, Jezzren told Cipples wife Bella and the Janos agent Himbimimam of his reasons and left in a waiting swoop.  Leaving Amagad with his wife Samerra and two children he made his way to Wennicas.  Holing up in a warehouse, he awaited his opportunity to make a run towards the Core Worlds.  But his plans were stunted by Jan Lomona who captured him.  After a change of heart by Lomona the family travelled on to Gista to stay with Jezzren's brother Marekk, and later into the safety of the Core.

Jiga the HuttHutt who enslaved the Twi’lek Heena before she murdered him to gain her freedom.

Jiko - Subordinate officer of Commander Holtaa, who questioned his superiors' orders to commit so many men to have the clone Goah Galletti assassinated.

Jimo - Hitman, Bounty Hunter, twin brother of the ex-Predd Jason informer Gimo and cousin of small-time Kanina operator Gemo the Gamp and Jabba the Hutts agent Gemmo the Gamp. Born on the world of Gamp and a member of the Gamp species, Jimo’s thick hide made him an excellent deep-cover agent on colder worlds such as Wennicas or Entall.

Joeb – Bartender aboard the New Republic gunship Colossus.  It was Joeb who served Wes Janson and Renn Drezzna their drinks when Janson briefly trained Squadron Indigo and who shared a drink with Jan Lomona just prior to the commencement of his mission to Maquina with Indigo Commander Terrie Saffra

Joeness, Doctor - Neuro doctor on Foron.   Later worked for Jomobol Pocock on the archaeological dig on Alganar III.

Joenligg, Doctor Evvran - Medical professor and archaeologist who once worked for worked for Torona Formoon on Moot.  Cautious and efficient, Joenligg erred on the side of caution in all things.  Along with his associate Doctor Thrace Meenton Joenligg once assisted Commander Terrov, luring both Goah Galletti and Jan Lomona to Terrov’s hidden base.   On the hit lists of both Ryath Centaur and Goah Galletti Joenligg met his death at the hands of Galletti – boiled to death in a sealed Bacta Tank.

Joli - This human tracker and mercenary was a shady character who operated around the local sectors.  Taking whatever jobs were available, Joli made a tidy profit - sometimes selling out his previous employer to his current one.

Jonan - Fierce human Bounty Hunter from the world of Orionto.  Along with his timid partner Kinler, Jonan made some significant hunts through the Mid-Rim.

Jonas, Skeet - This young human speeder bike racer led a full life.  Born on Coruscant and, unbeknownst to him the son of Imperial Grand Moff Galgen, he was taken to the desert planet of Tatooine by his mother at the age of nine and brought up by moisture farmers in the township of Mos Banely on Tatooine after the accidental death of his mother at the hands of the bounty hunter Queed.  Jonas bought a speeder bike, which he raced, until the Empire shut down such activities.  Hoping to make his fortune, Skeet entered the Tatooine Ten Thousand, a punishing speeder bike challenge across the surface of the planet, of which the first prize was 500,000 credits.  Jonas failed to win, and trashed his speeder in the process.  Owner of the droid Enneight, Skeet also had a latent ability in the Force - a trait passed down to him from his mother, Fuida Galgen-Jonas.  As well as the speeders, Skeet had a business arrangement with fellow swooper Driss Cotta.   Skeet left the world of racing behind for a number of years until a meeting with legendary racer Veen Bern made him change his mind and join Driss Cotta’s racing team.

Jones, Varley - This diminutive human pirate, with his distinctive drooping moustache and ponytail, operated on the fringes of the Setnin Sector in his freighter the Armoured Chariot.

Jonnty - Scruffy and distracted Rebel Alliance engineer who was a good friend of Goah Galletti. His skills were utilised by Admiral Jalman and Jonnty became the official technician to Squadron Indigo.

Jork – Alien business acquaintance of Goah Galletti who often worked out of Escall.  Jork was killed during the planetary explosion that ripped Escall apart, an explosion caused by the actions of Galletti and Commander Terrov.

Josch, Glorn - Human female pirate and member of Tralat Durges pirate gang around the Ruuthorne System.  Josch was not best pleased when Durge decided to throw in with the smuggler Jan Lomona and lease his pirate concern out to the Trac-Tran Transit Company.  Josch eventually came to lead the pirate concern known as Durges Devils, and during the Ki-Ki/Setnin War she helped form the Setnin Defence Force, voting for Tannis Rixx as its leader.

Josh, Rogan - Young human pilot who made his name as a pilot in the infamous Peach Squadron.  As he travelled throughout the galaxy, Josh had a tendency to steal starships – making him the perfect member of Peach Squadron, getting them out of tight corners and away from the ensuing destruction they inevitably left behind.

Jostenn, Duze– The most powerful ganglord in the Setnin Sector for sixty years until his demise at the hands of his chief assassin and long-time employee Carlonian Feese, who was working under the orders of Glann Cipple.  Jostenn kept the various factions in check from his Canopy base on Yotil, his famed tactical skills and secret alliances ensuring his position was maintained.  With such names as Feese, Cipple, Dessio D’Staan and Tunnil Fulle working for him he was a formidable name in the underworld.  Nearing the end of his career and losing ground to younger competition Jostenn entered into an uneasy alliance with former employee Cipple – an alliance that proved to be the source of his downfall. After Cipple persuaded Feese to assassinate his long-time employer Cipple replaced Jostenn as the kingpin of the Setnin underworld.

Jotacsa, Dariv – Owner of the huge pier that juts out of the side of a mountain on Luronsa IV, covered with casinos and gambling dens.  Jotacsa was a good friend and business associate of Duze Jostenn. Ade Lomona and Anak Arkensaw travelled there during the Sun Colour Festival to get Jotacsa to bankroll their new mining enterprise, but he isn’t interested.  In truth, Jotacsa was running slaves, drugs and weapons through the pier and was planning the assassination of Jostenn, and attempt that failed.

Juddma Ren Jedi Knight and colleague of Letitia Arkensaw.  A formidable ex senator who joined the Jedi at the late age of thirty.  Born of mixed race parentage on Corellia he was a master swordsman ands a cunning tactician.  His contacts within the Galactic Alliance senate made him a useful addition to the Jedi order.

Julid Familee, Baroness – Wife of Baron Pede Familee, Julid married without her father’s consent. Not a wise move, considering her father was Prime Lord Paol Kreaiden.

Ju'rut - Alien trader from Wennicas who was a friend of Arach Raynor and who fled the city of Haipspa when the Imperial army invaded the planet just after the Battle of Ruuthorne.

Jutla, Ambassador – Political attaché from Chinngard who travels the local systems and frequents Janos to keep the peace between the two worlds.

Jutten, Commander - Imperial Commander who desperately wanted Iriss Ordru alive so that he could get his hands on the holochip she had - and anyone with her was a viable target. A tall gaunt man with jet-black hair that appeared to be oiled to keep it in place he was nasty to his subordinates, had an acute tick in the left side of his face and snarled at everything.
