Two years before Episode IV – A New Hope

Histories - The version that is still in existence of the NHP Audio recording is in fact the second version of First Deal.  The original recording starred only Jonathan Hicks and was recorded without any kind of script.  As the NHP recordings grew in momentum through 1985 and into 1986 it was decided to re-record First Deal with the assistance of Mark Newbold, and the addition of a script.  Recorded on 12^th and 13^th August 1986, this was one of the first audiotapes to benefit from the experience gained by Jonathan Hicks over the past two years of constant recordings.
