D’Staan’s Betrayal

17 BSW4

  • Dessio D’Staan double-crosses the group, taking Jeriah and one day-old Armella into the Core. The rest of the Happy Contrivers never meet him face to face again.
  • As a consequence of D’Staan’s disappearance the runs from the Setnin sector into the Core Worlds swiftly collapse.
  • Glann Cipple and Dessio D’Staan speak one final time through a hyperspace communication channel.
  • Twelve-year-old Jan Lomona and his Trandoshan friend Treesk finish building their hot-rod Swoop and enter it in a local prairie race. They finish in an impressive third position.
  • Glann Cipple and Dressel sell out a Jedi family hiding in Old Veshat Town on Trefnare, the family of Suhreen Venoor, to the Empire for a million credits.
  • SoroSuub develops the Ambassador-class Shuttle.
  • Cipple comes into possession of a Spaarti Cloning Cylinder, a piece of equipment used for cloning. Cipple neglects to tell his partners of the discovery.
  • Riger is apparently killed one night later after Dressel pushes him off a cliff in Old Veshat Town on Trefnare, explaining the incident as an accident and publicly mourning Rigers death.
  • Glann Cipple learns of the existence of the information chip that Riger acquired which contained information about the runs to the Core Worlds. Confronting Dressel about it, Dressel denies any knowledge of such a chip.
  • After the death of her family at Imperial hands Suhreen Venoor is adopted by another family, raised as their own and doesn’t learn of her true heritage until much later.
  • Upon arrival on Amagad, Anzai Karoo takes a forty thousand credit cut of the one million credit Imperial reward, buys the Cannon Angel, takes N1K, the droid from the Happy Contriver who secretly hold the Riger information chip, and leaves the system.
  • Queed acquires his starship the Afterburner and apprehends an errant law enforcer on the planet Escall, pocketing a tidy sum. His name and reputation are swiftly noticed by interested parties.
  • Angered by her husband’s neglect of his family for the last five years, Fuida Galgen and her nine-year-old son Skeet revert back to her maiden name of Jonas and flee from Coruscant, travelling to Tatooine.
  • Feeling betrayed by his wife’s disappearance, Galgen hires the bounty hunter Queed to track them down and bring them back alive.
  • Dressel and Glann Cipple have a major falling out after arguing, among other things, about the Riger information chip. They part acrimoniously.
  • Queed finds Fuida and Skeet Jonas on Tatooine in the city of Mos Banely. Queed accidentally kills Fuida but decides to leave nine-year-old Skeet on Tatooine, away from the attentions of Galgen. Galgen is unaware of this development.
  • Jan Lomona and Treesk enter their second race and finish in fifth position.
  • Emag Retsam falls in love with Komag the Hutt’s Twi’lek slave dancer Yona.
  • Dressel hires his first group of employees, among them a young operator called Ensonn. Working out of a mobile base, they quickly begin to make ground as a potent smuggling concern.
  • Queed contacts Galgen and tells him of his failure to locate Fuida and Skeet.

Death of Yona

  • Pod Racing is banned in Raca City on Junduk IV in the Ki-Ki sector after Yona’s death in the final race of the season and the subsequent death of two hundred spectators in the riot that ensued. Devastated by Yona’s death and believing the sport to too dangerous and likely to incite future crowd troubles, track owner and Governor Emag Retsam bans it from future meets and concentrates on speeder and swoop races.
  • Duze Jostenn agrees to a partnership proposed by Glann Cipple, an agreement that initially seems mutually beneficial to both sides.
  • Honaro Desiato arrives on A-desando to help promote the Young A-Desando Prairie Swoop Championships.

Swoop Dreams

  • Honaro Desiato is sacked from the Assallam Astronautics swoop racing team while promoting his next race on the Setnin world of Hammill.
  • Dressel is forced to sack Ensonn, one of his very first hiring’s after learning that he has been skimming profits and cooking the books. He has him sent to the Outer Rim world of Actua Dua as punishment, partly to make an example out of him but also to keep an eye on him and possibly use him at a later time.
  • Honaro Desiato competes in his first race for the Derrelex Swoop Racing team in a track meet in Raca City on Junduk IV. He finishes in a reasonable fourth position.
  • Unbeknownst to Duze Jostenn, Glann Cipple acquires the services of a massive army of traders who will, when summoned, enter Setnin and assist in his efforts to take control from Duze Jostenn.
  • Duze Jostenn uses Glann Cipple and his contacts to annex the operation of Geon Tasar.

Extinction Point

  • Glann Cipple makes Amagad his permanent base of operations, letting other locations including Duze Jostenn’s headquarters on Yotil drop away.
  • Angered by his banishment, Ensonn determines to make Dressels life in the Outer Rim difficult and begins to find ways to hamper his operations.
  • Imperial agents who remained on Trefnare after slaying the Venoor Jedi family make discoveries about the genetic properties of the native Trefnarians and send their findings back to Coruscant.

  • Ocern Gabe, a respected smuggler throughout the Setnin sector and once Duze Jostenn’s main smuggler agrees to run for Glann Cipple.
  • Melm, after learning much about the Ferrerean warrior culture on their homeworld, is hunted down by Blackwing Mercenaries hired by the Ferrereans for the crime of stealing that sacred knowledge.
  • Hijjin Lomona leaves the A-desandian Security Services and joins the Imperial Naval Academy making his father, an officer in the Imperial Army, supremely proud.
  • Now a man with a sizable following, Ensonn manages to scupper Dressels in- roads to the Outer Rim by bandying his name about in a negative manner and distracting potential clients.
  • Melm is arrested by the Empire on the planet Zelon and sentenced to imprisonment.

Dishonourable Intentions

  • Melm comes to work for Glann Cipple after Cipple saves his life. Glann immediately sends Melm to Ferrerea for intense training.
  • Melm, after observing the correct protocols of atonement, starts a Shadow Warrior Academy on Ferrerea.

15 BSW4

  • Naaven Torr double-crosses Glann Cipple by selling information to the Empire and dies painfully aboard the then derelict Euphoria Space Station in orbit above Chinyard, torn to pieces by a pack of starved Sraw Rats. Broadcast live to certain establishments, this served as a graphic illustration of what could be expected for cheating Glann Cipple. Soon the phrase `Naaven’ passed into popular vernacular as a name for a spy or a traitor.
  • In order to facilitate his forthcoming election race, Glann Cipple enlists the assistance of Garris Tarainnew, head of the Amagadian Chamber of Justice and a well-respected public figure. Initially resistant, the lure of promised wealth and influence is too much for Tarainnew to resist and he agrees.
  • Realising the need for a legitimate face to his underworld operations, Glann Cipple opts to run for the governorship of Amagad City. With resident Imperial Admiral Kriner on his payroll he soon streaks ahead in the election race against an actor named Ansonn that he has employed to play the part of his main opponent. Cipple wins the governorship of Amagad City. He graciously accepts the position, one he will not relinquish for over two decades.
  • Dressel arrives on Cawbate and makes it his permanent base.
  • Moff Dacartchen is invested as Moff of the Setnin sector. Promising a hard-line attitude, it isn’t long before Dacartchen is actively seeking out confrontations for his troops to deal with.

Journal of a Dead Man

  • Pirate King Tralat Durge swoops in and claims the barren and remote Setnin world of Ruuthorne as his new base, eager to utilise its good location for trade routes and passenger liners. His pirates subjugate the population of the largest city on the planet and use them as slave labour.
  • A number of worlds begin to rebel against the Empire. They are swiftly brought under control, becoming martyrs for other rebel cells around the galaxy. Their actions directly inspire the rebel cell on the Setnin world of Durathosin.
  • Dressel sends agents to Actua Dua to track down and discipline Ensonn, but they are unable to locate him on the eleven billion strong populated world.
  • Torona Formoon, a man born in the Setnin sector but until now working on the OuterRim becomes one of Jabba the Hutts many Mid Rim lieutenants.
  • Opposing Janite forces clash, with the island of Oronori as the prize. Janos Executioner Redd Garmich is present.

War Children

  • Anzai Karoo crashes on Janos, destroying a holy temple and almost destroying his droid N1K in the process, resulting in a totally new body casing for the old droid.
  • Enraged by Anzai Karoo’s act of blasphemy, Janos declares a Holy War on the Setnin sector.
  • Geon Tasar, already a respected operator within the Setnin sector, accepts the offer of becoming Dressel’s Operations Manager two years after his own operations were annexed by Duze Jostenn and eventually merged into Cipple’s new operation.
  • Janos Executioners continue their Holy Crusade with the invasion of the feudal world of Chinngard.
  • Bacca inherits the uninhabited Abeote system as a coming of age gift. Not knowing what to do with it he places it directly into his will.
  • Jan Lomona finally amasses enough credits from prairie racing to acquire his first starship, the Trooper.

  • Weale Galletti is born into the Galletti family on Trefnare.
  • Honaro Desiato arrives on Inianjon to prepare for his upcoming swoop race.

Bacta Reality

  • On the order of Moff Dacartchen, Imperial agents arrive on Trefnare, intent upon taking genetic material from the populace with the intention of testing it for cloning. Trefnarian DNA being pure and unsullied by crossbreeding it is seen as the perfect genetic material for cloning a new generation of Stormtroopers for the region.
  • Eighteen-year old Petrol Merritch leaves his homeworld of Cawbate and embarks on a career in smuggling.

13 BSW4

  • The Galletti family take their chance and flee Trefnare in two starships. The ship carrying the Galletti’s Mother Gres, Father Drate and baby Weale is apparently destroyed after smashing into an asteroid.
  • The Galletti brothers – Hindley, Boah, Goah and Brush – begin a nomadic existence aboard Hindleys ship the Shadow of the Phoenix. Determined to keep the family together, Hindley takes smuggling jobs to make ends meet.
  • Petrol Merritch begins working for Jomobol Pocock, running the small, low profit lanes. He quickly gains a good reputation.
  • Level twenty-seven of the Chancai Trade Centre is completed with the massive turbines being lifted, the new level slid into place and the turbines replaced. One of the largest feats of civil engineering seen in the sector, the Trade Guilds finally gains permission to clear the forest and begin their construction of Fringe-Mall.
  • Fourteen months after acquiring his starship, sixteen-year old Jan Lomona leaves his homeworld of A-desando with the family droids Aurran and Troopie in the Trooper and heads towards Chancai to make his fortune.
  • Jan Lomonas droid Aurran briefly works for the Chancai-based ganglord Wessenon Zelon.
  • The Royal Imperial Shockball League is formed.
  • Den Treece is posted to Mantin VII to command the garrison there. He oversees the early design stages of what will eventually evolve into the Revenger Super Star Destroyer.
  • Galgen is promoted to the position of Governor of Junduk IV in the Ki-Ki sector.
  • Willing to impress and undercut his rivals Lomona is soon running forJomobol Pocock, charging half the usual fee. Pocock is impressed and offers Lomona more work.
  • The mechanic Romanoe does his first work for Jan Lomona, installing an array of security measures aboard the Trooper.
  • Belarra, a small-time operator running out of Chancai offers Jan Lomona a multitude of jobs including regular and highly profitable runs to Gista.

Primary Function

  • Jan Lomona and Bacca meet on Chancai and soon the two strike up a strong friendship.
  • Boah Galletti leaves his brothers behind and begins his own career as a con merchant and smuggler.
  • Den Treece is promoted and takes up the office of Governor of Zelon, based in Chancai. His first order of business is to help persuade Janos to call off its war with the sector, and in doing so promises to bring Anzai Karoo to justice for the blasphemous act of destroying a Janos Holy temple.
  • Culdinatia the Third agrees to Governor Treeces’ proposition and ends the two-year Holy War on the Setnin sector.
  • Realising that his ship the Trooper, a freighter not much larger than a shuttle, is not large or powerful enough to continue working with, Jan Lomona trades it in for a Desando Dynamics Stock Light Freighter, the Crusader.
  • After impressing various Setnin operators Lomona is spotted by one of Jabba the Hutt’s Mid Rim lieutenants, Torona Formoon.
  • Jan Lomona completes a simple run from Tatooine to Geonosis, thus starting a long and profitable relationship with Jabba the Hutt.
  • Jan Lomona runs an apparently simple job for small time gangster Belarra to Cantarr-bi-Romou but makes the error of offending a trading clan which leads to a chase through the Baze-ar Space Hub back to his ship The Crusader. For two minutes while warming her engines shots pepper the hull. Lomona swears that from that day forward he would leave his droid Aurran on the ship to keep her warmed and ready for immediate take-off.
  • Yaboko, chief of the native Niekon tribe who dwell in the Mutumbarr forest surrounding Chancai, spurs his people onto active rebellion when construction workers move in on their territory to clear them from their homes.
  • Returning to Setnin, Jan is spotted in the Fallast Corridor by Glann Cipples agent Zoz Eldenn.
  • Soon after his first run for Jabba the Hutt Lomona completes a similar mission for Cipple, running through the Quarshannel sector en route to a secret location. Jan completes the job swiftly, impressing Cipple.
  • Whilst running for Glann Cipple Jan Lomona is captured by local authorities on Varoone and imprisoned in a cell with an aged inmate. The man unlocks Jan’s limited ability with the force, a trait within the A-desandian handed down through the generations by a Jedi Knight in Jan’s family line. Unknown to Lomona the man is Arcc Nedeen, millennia old member of the long-lived Bedois race.
  • Arroth Quenn departs from Amagad to find work elsewhere in the Setnin sector. Jeriah D’Staan leaves Dessio and their daughter Armella. Tired of the constant arguments she sneaks out in the middle of the night and leaves Abrogard, never to be seen again.
  • Glann Cipple successfully sees off a consortium of gangsters who seek to overthrow his operations on Amagad.
  • Jan Lomona leaves his droid Aurran with Romanoe for safekeeping during the first Gang War.
  • After the conclusion of the first Gang War Cipple learns that Aurran briefly served Wessen, a rival gang leader a year before and had amassed a sizeable amount of information. Cipple orders the droid stripped to the wires and the information retrieved.
  • Due to the technical know how of Romanoe, Aurran is saved from being junked, and the information is safely removed. Unwilling to betray the trust of his former employee Wessen, Jan tampers with the information, making it largely useless.
  • Jezzren is hired as Glann Cipples assistant.
